The Kaduna State Government said on Sunday that youths protesting against the killing of three persons in Kamaru Chawai, in the Kauru Local Government Area of the state, burnt troops’ patrol motorcycle and personal belongings.

Recall that official statement said some gunmen invaded Kamaru Chawai, killing three persons while one person sustained injury on Saturday.

Kamaru Chawai is located in Southern Kaduna and shared border with Plateau State.

Eyewitness had said the gunmen, four in number, stormed the victim’s compound  on Saturday and after argument, opened fire on them, killing three.

However, on Sunday, the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement said the locals were infuriated by the narrative of the eyewitness, a development that snowballed into the protest.
